4-H Teen Council Invites New Members

4-H Teen Council members organize an annual 4th & 5th grade Lock-In4-H Teen Council is a leadership organization for youth in grades 7–12. Ak-Sar-Ben 4-H Stock Show, Sept. 27–30

The 85th Ak-Sar-Ben 4-H Stock Show will be held Sept. 27–30 at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha. More than 2,000 4-H families from eight states participate. Categories are dairy, feeder calf & breeding beef, market beef, market broilers, meat goats, market lamb, market swine, rabbit, and dairy steer.

Make It With Wool Deadline Oct. 27

Horse Awards Night, Oct. 2

Horse 4-H Awards Night presentation includes Incentive Awards, Horsemanship Levels, Horse Course Challenge, All-Around Awards, Herdsmanship, Top County Fair Judging buckles and ribbons, and a few surprise awards! The annual Lancaster County 4-H Horse Awards Night will be Tuesday, Oct. 2, 7 p.m. at the Lancaster Extension Education Center, 444 Cherrycreek Rd., Lincoln. Rabbit Clinic, Oct. 13

At the 4-H Rabbit Clinic, learn how to judge rabbits (ranking four rabbits in four sets). A free 4-H Rabbit Clinic will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, 9 a.m.–Noon at the Lancaster Extension Education Center, 444 Cherrycreek Road, Lincoln. This is a great opportunity to learn about the 4-H Rabbit Program, which is open to all youth ages 8–18. For more information, call Marty at 402-441-7180.

UNL Campus Visits

University of Nebraska has visit options for everyone. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln offers a variety of unique campus visit options throughout the year. Red Letter Days are an all-day open house experience for high school seniors (with several dates in Oct. & Nov.). Husker Weekdays are a half-day visit option for any student and their guests.
