The Ak-Sar-Ben 4-H Horse Show will be held on Sept. 15–16 at the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln. A veterinarian health check is required within 15 days of the exhibition date.

Categories are dairy, feeder calf & breeding beef, market beef, market broilers, meat goats, market lamb, market swine, rabbit, and dairy steer.

Do you know youth who are interested in joining 4-H? Invite them to the 4-H Kick Off, Thursday, Oct. 4, 6 p.m. at the Lancaster Extension Education Center. 4-H members will share completed projects.
The Make It With Wool contest offers youth and adults the opportunity to promote the beauty and versatility of wool fabric and yarn. Personal creations in sewing, knitting, crocheting, spinning, and weaving of wool fabric, yarn is encouraged. Entry deadline is Oct. 27. Continue reading…
Last year, Nebraska 4-H Foundation and Nebraska 4-H Ambassadors started a program which recognizes 4-H clubs throughout the state of Nebraska. Any 4-H club may nominate themselves to be the Club of the Month. The club who is chosen to be Club of the Month will receive a $50 cash card.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln offers a variety of unique campus visit options throughout the year. Red Letter Days are an all-day open house experience for high school seniors (with several dates in Oct. & Nov.). Husker Weekdays are a half-day visit option for any student and their guests.
