Horse Awards Night, Oct. 1

Come help celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of the 2015 Lancaster County 4-H horsemen!The annual Lancaster County 4-H Horse Awards Night will be Thursday, Oct. 1, 6:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Extension Education Center, 444 Cherrycreek Rd., Lincoln. National 4-H Week is Oct. 4–10

Celebrate the impact 4-H youth are making in their lives and their communities during National 4-H Week. Celebrate National 4-H Week October 4–10 by sharing photos of your 4-H Week activities with #4HGrowsHere. Follow 4-H on Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram. TSC Paper Clover Campaign Oct. 7–18

All funds raised will be donated to 4-H, and will support 4-H youth development program activities in Lancaster County.The Fall 2015 4-H Paper Clover Campaign will take place Oct. 7–18. Shoppers at both Lincoln Tractor Supply Company stores will have the opportunity to support 4-H by purchasing paper clovers for a $1 or more at checkout. All funds raised will be donated to 4-H.

 

Leader Training, Oct. 22

The Fall 4-H Update will focus on 4-H club organization, static exhibits, leadership, opportunities for your 4-H members and more. All 4-H leaders and volunteers helping with clubs and independent members are encouraged to attend the Fall 4-H Update on Thursday, Oct. 22 at the Lancaster Extension Education Center. Rabbit Clinic, Oct. 31

Sessions at the Rabbit Clinic include showmanship.A free 4-H Rabbit Clinic will be held Saturday, Oct. 31, 9 a.m.–12 noon at the Lancaster Extension Education Center, 444 Cherrycreek Road, Lincoln. Open to all youth and families. This is a great opportunity to learn about the 4-H Rabbit Program which is open to all youth ages 8–18.

Wildlife Club members help a young visitor identify an animal skull.UNL's School of Natural Resources free NaturePalooza Sept. 29, 3-8 p.m. at Hardin Hall (33rd & Holdrege) will give families the opportunity to see wildlife up close, cast for bass, call for turkeys, learn to make your yard a wildlife habitat, etc.! For all ages, many activities for K-5th graders.
