The 4-H Community Service Project map shows the multitude of 4-H community service projects happening across Nebraska.As you and/or your club work on community service projects, Nebraska 4-H asks that you submit your accomplishments to the 4-H Community Service Project Map. Please fill it out the form completely with brief description, number of volunteers, total hours and estimated dollar value of donated items.

The Lancaster County 4-H Horse VIPS Committee and the Salt Creek Wranglers are sponsoring a 4-H Pre-District Show on Saturday, June 4The Lancaster County 4-H Horse VIPS Committee and the Salt Creek Wranglers are sponsoring a 4-H Horse Pre-District Show on Saturday, June 4, 9 a.m. at the Lancaster Event Center – Pavilion 3. Pre-registration is not required. Stall arrangements must be made through the Event Center at 402-441-6545.

4-H Plant Science Contests, June 22

Tree identification is one of the three 4-H Plant Science Contests held June 22.Three Plant Science Contests will be held Wednesday, June 22, 10 a.m.–Noon at the Lancaster Extension Education Center. Register by June 17 by calling 441-7180. Youth choose which portions of the contest to participate in:
• tree identification
• weed & grass identification

Bicycle Safety Contest, June 25

In the bicycle skills events, 4-H’ers maneuver through several designated courses to test their riding skills and safety. The 4-H Bicycle Safety Contest will be held Saturday, June 25, 9 a.m. at the Lancaster Extension Education Center, 444 Cherrycreek Road. The contest is open to all 4-H’ers ages 8 and up. Donated Sewing Machine To Go To a 4-H’er

Kath Conroy, a 4-H clothing superintendent, and her husband, Mike, are graciously donating a brand new sewing machine to one Lancaster County 4-H youth. Babysitting Training for 5th–7th Graders, July 13

At this Babysitting Training, 5th-7th graders will learn child development, how to identify common hazards in the home, and become trained in CPR and first aid.A “Babysitting” training through the American Red Cross for 5th-7th graders will be held Wednesday, July 13, 8:30–4:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Extension Education Center. Cost is $32 (check payable to Lancaster County Extension). Bring a sack lunch. Register by June 24 by calling 402-441-7180.
