Register for Bicycle Safety Contest by June 20

In the bicycle skills events, 4-H’ers maneuver through several designated courses to test their riding skills and safety. The 4-H Bicycle Safety Contest will be held Saturday, June 25, 9 a.m. at the Lancaster Extension Education Center, 444 Cherrycreek Road. The contest is open to all 4-H’ers ages 8 and up. A Second Babysitting Training Scheduled for July 28

At this Babysitting Training, 5th-7th graders will learn child development, how to identify common hazards in the home, and become trained in CPR and first aid.The Babysitting Training scheduled for July 13 is full, so a second training has been added for Thursday, July 28, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Extension Education Center. It is through the American Red Cross for 5th-7th graders. Cost is $32. Register by June 30 by calling 402-441-7180.

State Horse Show Notice to Exhibitors

Presentations Contest, July 16

Illustrated Presentation uses visual aids to show and tell others how to do something.This year’s Presentations Contest will be Saturday, July 16, 9 a.m. at the Lancaster Extension Education Center. Must preregister by July 11. Open to all 4-H’ers ages 8–18 (4-H age). Need not be enrolled in a specific project. All participants are strongly encouraged to read the handout.

Teen Tour Guides Needed for Fair Fun Day

Fair Fun Day provides child care groups a guided tour of the Lancaster County Super Fair.Teen tour guide volunteers (ages 14 and up) are needed for Fair Fun Day for child care groups during the Super Fair on Friday, Aug. 5 at 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Guided tour includes hands-on activities, demonstrations, and displays/animals.
