Fashion Show Judging LOCATION CHANGE

4-H members enrolled in clothing projects are eligible to model their garment in the 4-H Fashion Show.Judging for the Fashion Show on Tuesday, July 26 will now be at the LANCASTER EVENT CENTER - Exhibit Hall. Times remain the same. If you have any questions, call 402-441-7180.

 

Rabbit Tattooing Opportunity, July 23

There will be a 4-H rabbit tattooing opportunity provided by the Rabbit VIPS Committee on Saturday, July 23, 9–11 a.m. at the Lancaster Extension Education Center, 444 Cherrycreek Road. Cost is $1 per rabbit. Rabbits must have permanent tattoo in left ear before coming to the Super Fair.

 

Table Setting Contest Deadline July 25

At the 4-H Table Setting Contest, each participant has 5 minutes to present their table setting to the judge.The Table Setting Contest is a fun way to learn how to properly set a table, plan a nutritious meal, express originality and creativity in choosing a theme, and present to a judge. It will be Friday, Aug. 5, 5 p.m. at the Super Fair. Must preregister by July 25 by calling 402-441-7180.

Volunteers Needed to Help Set-Up for Static Exhibits, July 28 & 30

Adults and youth ages 8 and up are needed to help clean, move and set up displays for the Lancaster County Super Fair on Thursday, July 28 at 6:30 p.m. (pizza will be served to volunteers) and Saturday, July 30 at 8 a.m. in the Lincoln Room. If you would like to help, call 402-441-7180.

 

Teen Tour Guides Needed for Fair Fun Day Aug. 5

Fair Fun Day is for child care groups with youth kindergarten graduates through 4th grade.Teen tour guides ages 14 & up are needed for Fair Fun Day for child care groups on Friday, Aug. 5 at 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Guided tour includes hands-on activities, demonstrations, and displays/animals. 4-H & FFA Entry Pass Hangtags for Super Fair

4-H/FFA exhibitors can get free 4-H/FFA entry pass hangtags for their immediate families at the Extension office (available through Aug. 3). These entry passes allow one vehicle and its occupants to enter the fairgrounds each day Thursday, Aug. 4–Monday, Aug. 8, 11 a.m. and park in designated areas. Continue reading…

 

4-H at State Fair Wants to Share Your Video!

A new attraction is debuting at this year’s Nebraska State Fair in the 4-H Exhibit Hall – the #NE4H Video View Wall!Nebraska 4-H wants to showcase point-of-view videos taken by 4-H'ers like you! Using a GoPro camera or by creating your own using a mobile device, record your 4-H experience (either completing a 4-H project or participating in a 4-H event). Then, edit the footage, upload it and share it.
