The Lancaster County Agriculture Society (which acts as the Fair Board) will hold its Annual Meeting on Thursday, Dec. 15 at the Lancaster Event Center, 84th & Havelock, in the Lancaster Room. 4-H Awards Deadline Dec. 31

The Nebraska Diamond Clover Program recognizes the accomplishments of 4-H’ers ages 8–18. Youth can progress from Level 1 up to Level 6.The following 4-H award applications are due Dec. 31: Diamond Clover, Community Service, Career Portfolios, National Leadership, Outstanding 4-H Member, Club of Excellence and Meritorious Service. Award recipients will be announced at Lancaster County Achievement Celebration on Thurs., Feb. 16, 2017

4-H College Scholarships Deadline Dec. 31

Lancaster County 4-H Council awards up to twelve $700 scholarships  to graduating seniors who have excelled in their involvement with the 4-H program.The following 4-H college scholarship applications are due Dec. 31: 4-H Council, 4-H Teen Council, Lincoln Center Kiwanis and Lane Community. Scholarship recipients will be announced at Lancaster County Achievement Celebration on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017.

2017 Horse District and State Show Dates

Districts.jpgThe 2017 Horse districts dates and sites will be June 12 in Lexington, June 13 in Taylor, June 14 in Wayne, June 19 in Hemingford and June 20 in Lincoln (Lancaster Event Center). The Fonner Park State Horse Show will be July 16-20 in Grand Island.
