The deadline for many 4-H award and college scholarship applications is Dec. 31. Awards include: Diamond Clover, Community Service, Career Portfolios, Outstanding 4-H Member and Clubs of Excellence. Recipients will be announced at Lancaster County Achievement Celebration on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017.

Please complete and return the Club Treasurer’s Report form even if your club does not have a bank account (if your club holds money, it must have a bank account). Contact the Extension office for more information. Extension is required to file your treasurer’s report in your club’s permanent file.

Any Lancaster County 4-H’er can participate in the Horse Incentive Program and log hours/points by participating in various horse-related activities Jan. 1–June 30. New this year is an Incentive Point Summary Sheet. You must still hand in your log sheets but total your points on the summary sheet.

Effective Jan. 1, 2017, all food-producing animal (including poultry) producers who use antibiotic medicated feeds to prevent, treat or control animal health issues will be required to get a written order or Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD) from a Veterinarian to purchase and feed these feeds.
