A 4-H Household Pets Fest will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, 9 a.m.-Noon at the Lancaster Extension Education Center, 444 Cherrycreek Road, Lincoln. Bring your small critter or just come for info & fun! This event will include guest speakers, animal bingo, a raffle and more.
The annual Lancaster County 4-H Horse Awards Night will be Thursday, Oct. 5, 6:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Extension Education Center, 444 Cherrycreek Rd., Lincoln. The Horse VIPS Committee will provide snacks.
Lancaster County 4-H Council is composed of youth (9th grade or higher) and adults working together in the interest of promoting activities of Lancaster County 4-H. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. Terms usually run October through September.

The Nebraska Association of Fair Managers will award two $500 scholarships to graduating seniors who plan to continue with post high school education. Applicants must have exhibited 4-H projects in a county or state fair within the last four years. Due to county extension office by Dec. 1.

The Nebraska Mystery Foods Event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Nebraska State Fairgrounds in Grand Island. Ages 10-18 may compete and form a team of 2-4 youth. Each team will be provided a pantry of food items to cook on site. Registration and entry fee of $25 per team is due by Oct. 13.
