Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County is seeking 4-H club photos for possible use in our 2017 Highlights Report. If you have photos to share, please email vjedlicka2@unl.edu by Nov. 1.
When a 4-H member completes a 4-H project, their 4-H club leader, or the parents/guardians of independent members, can present them with a Project Completion Certificate to recognize their achievements. These certificates can be completed online.

The Nebraska Mystery Foods Event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Nebraska State Fairgrounds in Grand Island. Ages 10-18 may compete and form a team of 2-4 youth. Each team will be provided a pantry of food items to cook on site. Registration and entry fee of $25 per team is due by Oct. 13.
A FREE 4-H Rabbit Clinic will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, 9 a.m.–noon at the Lancaster Extension Education Center, 444 Cherrycreek Road, Lincoln. Open to all youth and families. For more information, call Kate Pulec at 402-441-7180.

Lancaster County 4-H Council is composed of youth (9th grade or higher) and adults working together in the interest of promoting activities of Lancaster County 4-H. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. Terms usually run October through September.
The 2017 Nebraska Make It With Wool Contest will be Saturday, Nov. 18 at 9 a.m. at the Lancaster Extension Education Center, 444 Cherrycreek Road, Lincoln. Wearable garments in sewing, knitting, spinning and weaving of wool fabric comprised of at least 60% wool fiber may be entered.
Did you know you could attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and get a degree focused on companion animals, horses or livestock? The Department of Animal Science is hosting its annual Open House for middle and high school student on Monday, Oct. 23, 6-8 p.m. No cost to attend.
