Roger Bell will be having a livestock judging practice Sunday, Feb. 11 from 2-4 p.m. at the Lancaster Event Center 4-H office located by Pavilion 3. The first contest will be at the Nebraska Cattleman's Classic Saturday, Feb. 24. Plan to attend practice. For more information, contact Cole Meador.

If you have 4-H/FFA market beef you would like to weigh to be eligible for the rate of gain contest at the Super Fair, plan to attend Sunday, Feb. 18 from 2-3 p.m. at Scott Heinrich's farm located at 12355 Panama Rd., Hickman. Cattle will be weighed, tagged and DNA samples taken at this time.

The 4-H Spring Rabbit Show will be held Saturday, March 17, 9 a.m. at the Lancaster Event Center – Exhibit Hall. Open to all youth ages 8–18. Registration 7:30–8:30 a.m. All rabbits must have a permanent legible tattoo in the left ear (tattooing available at the show 7:30–8:30 a.m. — $1 per rabbit).

JOANN Fabrics wants to see more Nebraska youth learning by doing, creating, and making. The JOANN Fabrics Paper Clover campaign will take place during the month of February. Customers will be able to purchase $1 and $4 Paper Clovers to support their local 4-H program.
The Nebraska Department of Agriculture is asking students in grades 1-6 to share the story of Nebraska agriculture by entering its annual ag poster contest. Entries must be postmarked by the March 1 deadline.
