English Advising Welcoming New and Perspective Majors for Major for a Day Program

Major for a Day
Major for a Day

The Department of English and the Department of History will be hosting new and prospective students for the English, Film Studies, or History Major for a Day program from February 5th-7th.

The one-day, immersive program will allow students to participate in 2-3 English and/or Film Studies classes in areas like creative writing, composition and rhetoric, literary studies, and film studies. Students interested in the History major will get to participate in classes like American History, Ancient Greece, and the Holocaust. Students will also take a tour of campus spots that humanities majors frequent like the Center for Digital Research in the Humanities, the Willa Cather Archive, the Ross Film Theatre, Special Collections, and the Prairie Schooner literary journal office.

This event is free and open to all high school seniors interested in English, Film Studies, or History. Please help us spread the word to any high school teachers or students who might be interested in experiencing the English, Film Studies, or History major at Nebraska.

If there are any questions, feel free to contact Kelly Payne or Ann Tschetter.
