The Quintet includes John Bailey, flute; William McMullen, oboe; Diane Barger, clarinet; Jeffrey McCray, bassoon; and Alan Mattingly, horn. Their program includes works by Jacques Ibert, Theodor Blumer, Paquito D'Rivera, Alvin Etler and Arne Running.

The program includes Claude Debussy's "La Catherale engloutie" and Giovanni Gabrieli's "Canzon Noni Toni a 8." The program also includes two Nebraska premieres: Lansing McLoskey's "What We Do Is Secret" and Steven Bryant's "Ecstatic Waters." Composer McLoskey will also be on campus in residence culminating in the performance.

• 26th Annual Undergraduate Studio Art Competition, March 15-29, Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall. A closing reception and announcement of juried awards will take place on Friday, March 29 from 5-7 p.m. in the Gallery. Awards to be presented include the Jean R. Faulkner Memorial Award, Department of Art and Art History Freshman and Sophomore Awards and Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts Dean's Purchase Award. This year's juror is Karin Campbell, curator of contemporary art at Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha.
