Oct. 10-12 and 15-19 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 13 and 20 at 2 p.m.: University Theatre presents "Silence" by Moira Buffini. Directed by Dennis Henry. Studio Theatre, first floor Temple Building. Funny, touching and full of surprises and adventure, "Silence" is set in 1,000 A.D. Ymma, a French Princess, is shipped to England for a forced marriage to Silence, a Viking Prince with whom she develops a surprising friendship. Their happiness becomes threatened by a homicidal English King, a confused priest, a jealous soldier and hallucinogenic mushrooms. The greatest danger of all, however, is the truth about who Silence really is. It is a secret that, if revealed, will change the course of history. For tickets, call (402) 472-4747.

Oct. 11-26: "Boundaries" featuring graduate student work in photography from a national call curated by UNL graduate student Chadric Devin and "MWSPE Scholarship Winners Exhibition" featuring Alaina Hickman, Metropolitan Community College in Omaha; Nicole Hupp, UNL; Kate Allen, University of Iowa; and Heather F. Wetzel, The Ohio State University. Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall. Opening reception is Oct. 11 from 5-7 p.m. in the gallery. A reception for the Midwest SPE Exhibition will be held on Oct. 26 from 6-8 p.m. in the gallery.
