Aug. 1: First Friday Reception for the "UNL Alumni Artists, 1945-1969: Your Story Begins Here" exhibition on display through Aug. 15 at the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall. The First Friday reception is from 5-7 p.m. The gallery is accessible to visitors during Department of Art and Art History office hours, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Aug. 5: Nebraska Repertory Theatre's Destinations Series presents "P(l)aying Due(t)s," featuring the premier performance of SloDance, a new modern dance company led by Associate Professor of Dance Susan Levine Ourada. 7:30 p.m. in Howell Theatre, first floor of the Temple Building. Free admission to NRT 2014 Season Pass Holders or $7 at the door. No reservations.
