The Department of Art and Art History's special alumni exhibition, "UNL Alumni Artists, 1945-1969: Your Story Begins Here" runs through Aug. 15 in the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall.

A First Friday reception will be held on Friday, Aug. 1 from 5-7 p.m. in the gallery. The event is free and open to the public.

The Department of Art and Art History solicited alumni who graduated between 1945-1969 to send artwork for the exhibition.

“We got a wonderful response to our invitation from the alums, and the three galleries are full of artwork,” said Department of Art and Art History Chair Pete Pinnell. “What’s even better is that a lot of the participants sent notes about their careers or memories, so we’ve posted those next to the artworks.”

The Department of Art and Art History intends to repeat the exhibition in future summers with different graduation dates included.

The Eisentrager-Howard Gallery is accessible to visitors during Department of Art and Art History office hours, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors should come to Rm. 120 for access.

The Eisentrager-Howard Gallery is located on the first floor of Richards Hall, which is at Stadium Drive and T sts. on the UNL city campus. Admission to the gallery is free and open to the public.
