• Rudy Jansen (BFA 2012) is currently working with the casting director on the next Alexander Payne film shooting this spring. They are seeking an Asian male, ages 23-30, to play a graduate student in a paid speaking role that will shoot in Omaha in April. No previous experience necessary. • Michael S. Reichman (BM 2008) has been appointed as General Manager of the York Symphony Orchestra in York, Pa. Reichman comes to York following a successful tenure as General Manager and Assistant Conductor of Symphony Nova in Boston. In 2013, his work with Symphony Nova earned him one of seven fellowships, nationally, from the League of American Orchestras, which inducted him into their new Emerging Leaders Program. He received his master's degree in music from the New England Conservatory in Boston.

• Amanda Smith (MFA 2008) is the new director of the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts in Nebraska City. A native of Lincoln, she has taught in the painting program at Indiana University, was an assistant professor of art at Minnesota State University in Mankato and most recently was the Director of Rail Gallery at Doane College.

• David von Kampen (BM 2009, MM 2011) has been selected as the 2015 MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) Distinguished Composer of the Year. He will perform at the national conference in April.

• Heath White (BME 2011) recently won a position as flutist/piccoloist in the West Point Military Band.
