Honors for Glenn Korff School ensembles

Two ensembles from the Glenn Korff School of Music will be performing at national conferences next year.

The University of Nebraska Percussion Studio has won the Percussive Arts Society International Percussion Ensemble Competition.

"It's kind of like winning the Super Bowl in the percussion world," said Assistant Professor of Percussion and Jazz Studies David Hall.

They will perform a showcase concert at PASIC in Indianapolis, Indiana, in November.

Also, the UNL Graduate Jazz Combo has been selected to perform at the 2017 Jazz Education Network Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, in January.

In addition, five graduate jazz studies students were selected to present papers or posters at this year's conference. They are: Sarah Cosano, Patrick Brown, Max Stehr, Jessie McBee and Andrew Janak.
