The Glenn Korff School of Music and Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film have several camp opportunities available for high school and middle school students this summer.

Space is limited and all camps listed below fill on a first-come, first serve basis.

• Summer Chamber Strings Institute: June 10-13. Registration deadline is May 18. The Chamber Strings Institute is a four-day camp for stringed instrument players open to students entering grades 9 through 12 and 2018 graduates. https://go.unl.edu/dses.

• Nebraska Show Choir Camp: June 10-16. Registration deadline is May 18. Come be a part of the exciting Nebraska Show Choir Camp open to students entering grades 9 through 12 and 2018 graduates. This is a week-long camp where students who love singing and dancing can perform with other talented students from around the Midwest while having fun. • Middle School Band Camp: June 19-23. Registration deadline is June 1. If you're a student entering the 6th grade through leaving 8th grade, come to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln campus for an unforgettable musical experience. • Cornhusker Summer Marching Band Camp: July 8-12. Registration deadline is June 8. The Cornhusker Summer Marching Band Camp fosters leadership, marching fundamentals, and performance skills in all areas of the high school marching band. Participants receive intensive instruction from clinicians on an individual and group basis. The age range of campers is students entering the 9th grade through leaving 12th grade (including graduates). For more information, visit https://go.unl.edu/da7k.

Faculty from the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film will be teaching "Discover Filmmaking," one of the options available at Big Red Summer Academic Camps from Nebraska 4-H.

"Discover Filmmaking" runs June 10-15. The registration deadline is May 15. Big Red Summer Academic Camps are open to youth grades 10-12, including recent high school graduates.

This movie‐making adventure will allow you to actually make a film and spend time in the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center. You’ll have access to award‐winning faculty and see how motion pictures really work. Participants are encouraged to bring their own video cameras, if available.
