Changes to conference rooms in TEAC building

IS has required us to make security changes that will affect the way you download software in the conference rooms, if this is something you should need to do. The conference rooms in TEAC include rooms 113, 138, 204, 249.

1. The computers will boot-up and automatically log into a default account. You can use the computer and its software in this way, but you will not be able to install software using this account.

2. The computers are now connected to Active Directory, meaning you can log out of the default account and log in as yourself using your Active Directory username and password. You still will not be able to install software.

3. If you need to install/update software, please notify us as soon as you can, either by phone or by putting in a trouble ticket, and we can install the software for you.

4. We can also arrange access for you so that when you log-in with your Active Directory account, you will have administrative rights so you can install what you need. (Please note that this access is not permanent and will be removed at the end of every semester.) Again, please give us as much warning as possible. If there is someone else teaching with you that you would like to give these duties to, please have that person contact us.
