Education Abroad Proposal Submission Deadlines are Changing

The Education Abroad Office has just notified us that they have shifted their education abroad program proposal submission deadlines to be more in line with good practices in the field. Most U.S. institutions request proposals at least one year prior to the program start date, if not closer to 18 months prior.

Their new deadlines are listed near the bottom of this page: http://educationabroad.unl.edu/propose-program

Please note that they have earlier deadlines for new programs (blue chart) to allow more time for budget and on-site partnership development, and later deadlines for returning programs (orange chart) to allow time for feedback from the current year. For example, the final deadline for new Summer 2017 programs is July 15, 2016 and the final deadline for returning Summer 2017 programs is August 15, 2016.
