“Celebration of Youth XXIII: A Harvest of Creatives” concludes tomorrow, Oct. 15, at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Robert Hillestad Textiles Gallery. A public reception honoring the artists and their families will take place tomorrow in Room 11 of the Home Economics Building on East Campus, beginning at 3 p.m.
Each year, youth from around the state compete at the Nebraska State Fair in the 4-H areas of clothing, home environment, and Quilt Quest. Each year we spotlight the prize winners in these categories, and each year the Hillestad Gallery audiences are wow’d by the creativity, invention and craftsmanship on display. This year’s 23rd iteration of the show once again brings to campus some of the most engaging and imaginative expressions from a broad cross-section of Nebraska’s talented young people.
The event is free and open to the public.
