THIS IS A GOOD TIME TO REMEMBER THE CEHS REFERRAL SYSTEM FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS: Even though we make a significant effort to create a friendly environment for students, college campuses can be stressful places for them. Recent articles on college life indicate that the number of college students with mental health problems of all types is steadily increasing. As a new semester begins, some students find themselves at sea, struggling with problems from relationship breakups to drug or alcohol abuse to severe depression. Students in CEHS are not immune from these problems. This is just a friendly reminder that CEHS has a referral system to assist students, who in your opinion, are not doing well in your classes for any reason. Please contact the CEHS Student Services Center (472-8624) if you have a student who concerns you. Following through on your concerns may be just the thing to help a floundering student regain his or her equilibrium.
