A public panel discussion about dual language programs in public schools will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m., Nov. 16 in Henzlik Hall Room 45 on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s City Campus. The panel features school administrators, coordinators, teachers, parents and students who will share their experiences with dual language programs in Nebraska. During the discussion, panelists will answer questions from students and others wanting to know more about dual language programs. The panel is part of the graduate course “Foundations of Dual Language” taught by Theresa Catalano, associate professor of Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education (TLTE) in the College of Education and Human Sciences. TLTE launched a dual language endorsement program last summer to provide a space where teachers in (or desiring to work in) dual language programs across the state could receive preparation to work in these programs.
