Benefit eligible employees, don't forget to enroll!
Even if you are not changing your benefits please enroll to designate your tobacco/nicotine status and to complete the Health Risk Assessment. Deadline is this Friday, Nov. 18.

FLSA

Emails have been sent out to those impacted by the Fair Labor Standards Act, and training is scheduled for Nov. 29. If you think this impacts you and you did not receive an email, please contact Dori Smidt (dsmidt2@unl.edu or 402-472-5401).

THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY 2016

UNL will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25, 2016 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Please refer to the information below regarding pay for these holidays.

Monthly paid employees – 12-month faculty and staff:

All leave for November 24 and 25 will be posted by Payroll.

NO ACTION IS REQUIRED FOR ANY MONTHLY PAID EMPLOYEES.

Biweekly employees and their supervisors:

A wage type of HOL will be entered through ESS Time for Nov. 24 and 25.

For regular, part-time employees, the number of hours you enter as HOL is dependent upon your budgeted FTE. For example, if you are 50% FTE (20 hours/week) you will enter 4 hours of HOL for these days, regardless of your usual work schedule.

Temporary employees are not eligible for holiday pay so would need to take Nov. 24 and 25 as vacation (requested through ESS Leave) or as leave w/o pay UNPL (ESS Time).
