Volunteer with Lancaster Rehabilitation Center

Volunteers needed to help residents by: reading to them, helping with word searches, puzzles, crafts, writing letters, listening to music, pet therapy, cards/games, sharing pictures, painting nails, making phone calls, styling hair, playing computer games, and typing stories.

Also looking for art students who would be willing to come in and share their talents. Volunteers must have the ability to listen carefully and go slowly with resident activities. Ideally volunteers would stay at least 6 months to a year but realistically at least a semester at a time. Must come in at least one day a week for one hour at a time.

Contact Sheryl Walker or Lynette Tegtmeier at 402-441-7101 ext 203 or visit lancasterrc.com.

If interested, please fill out application and submit to Lancaster Rehabilitation Center. Students are free to end participation (or ask to be reassigned) at any time if the assignment with a particular resident does not work out. We want to pair them with someone that they can work productively with and have some fun!
