Summer Classroom Experiences Available Through Bright Lights

Interested in shadowing a teacher or working with elementary and middle school students this summer? Join the fun as a Bright Lights Classroom Assistant during our weeklong classes and camps. Class topics include: robotics, Hogwarts (at Lincoln Southwest High School), jewelry design, engineering, outdoor skills, drawing, cooking, electronics and more We especially are seeking college-age students to assist with our middle school Japanese students and the International Program the week of June 20-24 from 9-noon at Lux Middle School.

Background checks are required of applicants 19 and older. A limited number of paid positions helping with lunch hour supervision are also available.

Program Dates: June 6-10 June 13-17 June 20-24 June 27-July 1 July 11-15

New Main Site: Holmes Elementary (52nd and Sumner streets)

Additional sites: Lux Middle School, Lincoln Southeast High School, Lincoln Southwest High School, Lincoln Christian High School, UNL City Campus , Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center. All interested applicants should be available to work the entire week they are scheduled.
