More TAs Needed for CSCE Courses

Classes are growing. Labs are full. More help from Undergraduate Teaching Assistants (UTAs) is needed! We are currently processing applications that have been submitted on the http://cse.unl.edu/~gta web site. It is clear that more UTAs are needed than have applied. If you have some hours each week to devote to assisting in labs, recitations, the Student Resource Center, through emails and online, and/or grading, please respond! You will be paid $10/hour for your efforts.

Generally the work is quite flexible, especially outside set lab and recitation times. What you will do is determined by the instructor for the course that you assist. The number of hours depends on what you arrange in advance, and can vary each week. Often there are weekly coordinating meetings with the instructor, GTAs and other UTAs. Some office hours may be arranged in the SRC.

The need exists in a variety of courses such as CSCE 101L, CSCE 155A, 155E, CSCE 155N, CSCE 155H, CSCE 230, CSCE 235 and CSCE 310. UTAs for CSCE 101 and CSCE 156 are especially needed.

If interested, contact Charles Riedesel at chuckr@unl.edu and also register at that site, http://cse.unl.edu/~gta, noting that while it was designed for GTAs, there is provision for UTAs also.
