Although the title and description are geared toward an electrical engineer with an emphasis on power, we have the ability and need to hire a EE, CE, or CS (computer science) with a computer engineering or software emphasis as well. Here is the job summary: At the full performance level, incumbent will serve as an electrical engineer responsible for providing technical assistance and guidance for operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment such as turbines, generators, governors, intake gates, exciters, capacitors, transformers, unit and main switchboard, circuit breakers and station service equipment. Use engineering skills, knowledge and ability to develop designs for proposed modification of existing equipment and systems. Review contractor work including design proposals and submittals. Plan, prepare, and scope work required in the maintenance and operation of high voltage electrical equipment. Review construction plans and specifications prior to bids and awards of contract to check for conflicts, omissions, and requirements not in accordance with established codes.

The SCADA system spans 4 states and includes 180+ devices which are managed and configured by the team. The team provides administration and Information Assurance support for the entire system which includes, Windows workstations and servers, Unix servers, database administrations, network administration, programmable logic controllers, HMI programming, scripting, and more.
