Materials and Machines Corporation is a materials engineering and biological science company located in Lincoln, NE. They have an opening for an Applications Engineer with experience in embedded systems and communication.
Required experience includes:
1. Circuit design and optimization.
2. Familiarity in using simulation software for circuit analysis and optimization, e.g. Multisim (National Instruments). Awareness of and experience in free SPICE platforms is a plus. (Preferred not Required)
3. Microcontrollers – Example: Familiarity with Piccolo (Texas Instruments), Arduino (Atmel).
4. Microprocessors – Desired experience in using AM3352 microprocessor (Texas Instruments). Example: Beaglebone Black development board.
5. Experience in Linux OS (Operating system) – Debian or Fedora based.
6. Programming with C++.
7. Familiar with process control.
8. Signal processing (analog and digital) – Signal acquisition, sampling, and processing.
9. Data presentation to touch screen – GUI development along with backend.
10. Wireless communication.
They are looking for a dynamic individual with creative abilities who can work with very little supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists. Bachelor’s Degree in any field of engineering is a minimum. Ph.D. or M.S. preferred.
