CSE students are invited to participate in the Make Lincoln Festival on Oct. 8. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Trago Park, 2035 U St. Lincoln, NE.

The event is organized by several companies and initiatives, including Make Shift Lincoln, Malone Community Center, Turbine Flats, Nebraska Digital, Furmarol, and iSoftData.

The event will host more than 60 booths from local makers, as well as food trucks, art, activities, and musical acts appropriate for all ages. The event is both free and open to the public.

Members of MakeShift, a local ‘makers’ group housed in the Turbine Flats building, and The Turbine Flats Project are planning an all-ages “Maker” event that celebrates and engages makers from all disciplines. The event will honor the innovators of the past and celebrate Lincoln’s makers of today. It will engage and inspire people of all ages to innovate, create, and build within our community.

Make Lincoln will have hands-on demonstrations and educational booths of interest to kids and adults alike.

Booths are available free to makers and for a nominal fee for those who wish to sell what they make.

The goal is to have representatives of science, art, engineering, and design all coming together to share their unique passions and skills.

Booths are available free to makers and for a nominal fee for those who wish to sell what they make.
