Hudl and Don't Panic Labs will host a State of the Practice event tomorrow, March 2. The companies will share more about their work and open jobs with students.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has teamed up with Prosper Lincoln to sponsor a new series of "State of the Practice" events that will give students a chance to become better acquianted with the companies that presented at the Reverse Pitch event in January. The nine featured organizations will host similar, but smaller events as groups of two or three at new locations throughout the spring semester.

The first State of the Practice event will be hosted by Hudl and Don't Panic Labs in the "Barnyard" of the Nebraska Global Building. Students will arrive at 7 p.m. and take a quick tour of both offices. Following the tours, employees will share a bit about their roles and work, and will use the remaining 20-30 minutes for Q&A. There will also be plenty of Toppers pizza to enjoy!

Students should have already RSVP'd and reserved a ticket through the Facebook event.

If you can't make it to this event, there will be more State of the Practice events with more companies in the coming weeks. Students can reserve tickets through our Facebook events. Tickets are free, but required to ensure there is plenty of space and food for everyone. Mark your calendars for the following dates:

Firespring and Nelnet — Thursday, March 16 at Firespring
Assurity, Sandhills Publishing, and Pen-Link — Thursday, March 30 at Assurity
Spreetail and Virtual Incision — Thursday, April 13 at Nebraska Innovation Campus
