Our Nebraska event series encourages diversity, inclusion and education

Our Nebraska Empowering Every Story
Our Nebraska Empowering Every Story

Previously known as the Empowerment Forum, Our Nebraska is a week-long event series from March 6–10 featuring diverse speakers. Students, faculty and staff members are welcome to attend one or all of the events to learn how to become stronger leaders in their community. The events are free, with some featuring a lunch. Those who attend all the events will be entered for a chance to win a prize on the final day.

The event is co-sponsored by the Diversity Council. This year’s theme is Empowering Every Story. Speakers ranging from the founder of UNL’s Afrikan People’s Union Martha Florence to football coach Mike Riley will be discussing their life experiences and how that shaped their world view today.

People planning to attend need to register ahead of time at http://stuafs.unl.edu/empower.
