Firespring and Nelnet will host a State of the Practice event on Thursday, March 16 to share more about their companies and open jobs with students.
Prosper Lincoln is sponsoring a new series of "State of the Practice" events that will give Computer Science and Engineering students a chance to become better acquianted with the companies that presented at the Reverse Pitch event. The nine featured organizations will host similar, but smaller events as groups of two or three at new locations throughout the spring semester.
This State of the Practice event will be hosted at the Firespring office. Students will arrive at 7 p.m. and receive a tour followed by a Q&A session with employees from both companies. Students will have a chance to ask about their roles and work, the company, work environment, which positions might be right for them, and application tips. Employees will also be available after for one-one-one conversations. There will also be plenty of free Raising Cane's to enjoy! Students should not miss out on this event if they're interested in applying to either company in the future.
The Firespring office is located at 1201 Infinity Ct, Lincoln, NE 68512 in south Lincoln. Transportation will be provided. Students who do not wish to drive themselves should meet in front of the football statue in the Memorial Stadium loop near Avery Hall no later than 6:30 p.m. A bus will be there to shuttle students to Firespring and back to campus after the event.
