Cintani Technology Internship opportunities for this summer are available.

Cintani is offering four technology summer internship opportunities to computer science students.

The organizations who received the internships are as follows, along with the grant award for each:

· Junior Achievement of Lincoln - $2,500
· Friends of Lied Center - $5,000
· Tabitha - $5,000
· TeamMates Mentoring Program - $5,000

Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement of Lincoln is a growing organization with a small staff. In total, we have four full-time and two part-time staff and yet reach more than 28,000 local K-12th grade Nebraska students annually with our financial literacy programs. Website development is an area that our staff is not adept and an intern who could focus on these issues listed below would provide services that are very important for our continued growth and success.

This intern would update and launch a new JA website by Aug. 1 and update and "clean up" existing equipment. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and students would be permitted to work out of the office.

Friends of Lied – Lied Center for Performing Arts

The Lied Center for Performing Arts Contain Technology Internship will assist with Email Marketing and Surveys. This project will improve communication with our patrons and help to grow Lied Center audiences. A previous Cintani intern created an automated workflow to send email reminders to all patrons before each show. This tool is a great way to improve our guest experience, and it does not require any extra labor. We want to expand on this idea and develop additional automated workflows to better our patrons’ relationship and experience with Lied Center programs.

Tabitha, Inc.

Tabitha’s Cintani Technology Internship Grant will allow Tabitha to hire an intern from a local college to identify, assess, develop, test, and evaluate methodologies for assigning each patient a unique identification number. While the proposed project is included in Tabitha’s prioritized list of Information Technology initiatives, it has not been assigned any organizational resources, nor has external funding been secured. With the work of an intern, Tabitha will accelerate the introduction of this important project.

TeamMates Mentoring Program

TeamMates Mentoring Program serves 8,000 youth with a caring adult volunteer mentor across 147 chapters in Nebraska and Iowa. The TeamMates Central Office has nineteen staff members who provide support and oversight to all chapters. To ensure quality and continuity program- wide, the Central Office maintains program and brand standards, accounting functions, technology management and mentor training guidelines to which all chapters are accountable. This project will focus on some technology projects that are temporary in nature but necessary to improve and sustain our operations and will impact our work both in the Central Office and chapters program-wide.

The intern will primarily focus on two projects: creating two apps and updating the TeamMates website.
