Software on computers in CSE labs will be upgraded over the summer, but three demo machines in Avery 15 have already been upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and are available now for students and faculty to evaluate how their roaming profiles and applications work with the new operating system.

These computers, located along the west wall of Room 15 in Avery Hall, are marked by signs which read "Windows 10 Test System." Faculty and students are encouraged to log in and use these computers to test the applications and features you use. All of the same software packages from our Windows 7 lab image should be installed on these Windows 10 computers, with the exception of the Altera suite which will be installed over the summer.

Stop by to log in to take a look around and let us know what you think. If you experience any issues, have suggestions for improving these systems, or want to submit a request for additional software, please send an email message to support@cse.unl.edu.

All CSE lab computers are scheduled to be upgraded to Windows 10 prior to the beginning of the fall semester. Systems will continue to be dual-boot so users can choose to work in either Windows or Linux.
