Do you like to solve problems? Would you like to learn how to use the strengths of different programing languages? Are you interested in testing your ability to create programed solutions to problems against others? Join a group that focuses on problem solving, algorithm development, and representing the university at the ACM ICPC competitions (With the possibility to go to China for the world finals this year).
This is a great opportunity to practice and hone your programing and problem solving skills. It also provides experiences in team work, project management and planning, communication, cooperation. You will also meet a fair number of other individuals that are also interested in competitive programing, algorithms, and being able to rapidly convert ideas into sound code.
The group will be meeting on Fridays from 7-9 p.m. in Avery 347.
On Sept. 15 and Oct. 20 we will be meeting in Avery 21 from 5-10 p.m. for a practice contest.
If you want to take part in the competition, the local University of Nebraska–Lincoln competition will be on Oct. 8 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in Avery 20/21.
The regional contest will be on Oct. 28 in Avery Hall.
