Upperclass Learning Communities

Upperclass Learning Communities at Nebraska are comprised of students who share a desire to enhance and build upon the skills and concepts they learned their first year of college. Students will engage in unique seminars and live with other students who share similar goals and interests. Additionally, Upperclass Learning Community students will be offered multiple out-of-the-classroom experiences to increase their learning, from research projects to study abroad opportunities.

The university offers three Upperclass Learning Community options: Global Experiences, Second-Year Edge, and Water for Food Global SEEDS.

Any second-year undergraduate student is qualified to apply for an Upperclass Learning Community through the housing contract. Some Upperclass Learning Communities require an essay while completing your housing contract. For information about each specific Learning Community, check out the Learning Communities website or email learningcommunities@unl.edu.
