Two versions of TEAC 949A will be offered during the spring 2013 semester. They are:

TEAC 949A: SPECIAL TOPICS IN EDUCATION: ASSESMENT ISSUES IN MATH & SCIENCE EDUCATION.
This course is directed toward working K-16 teaching professionals and/or graduate students who are interested in improving their understanding of assessment, specifically in math and science education. This can be taken either as a face-to-face or as a distance course.

TEAC 949A: SPECIAL TOPICS IN EDUCATION: MATHEMATICAL WAYS OF KNOWING AND THE ART OF TEACHING.
In this course, K-16 teaching professionals and/or graduate students will gain an understanding of the ways in which the field of mathematics has changed over time, how a variety of perspectives have impacted the questions and methods of the domain, its history as a school subject, and the role these ideas play in the teaching and learning of mathematics in schools. This course will meet on the UNL campus.

Additional information about these two courses is below.
