Title: “Mathemagic: Magic in the Mathematics Classroom”
Suitable for teachers of grades 3 – 12, this presentation will include several different magic tricks based on mathematical principals, or “mathemagic.” Mathemagic can be a powerful tool for mathematics teachers if used properly. Since it is entertaining, mathemagic can be used to dazzle students, hook them into a particular lesson or serve as a “five minute filler.” When used carefully, mathemagic can be a core part of a lesson or serve as a basis for good homework questions or projects.
