The $30 application fee to the Board is waived for first time applicants currently enrolled in an ABET - Accredited Engineering Program in Nebraska or a graduate of such, and applying to taking the FE exam for the first time. Students applying to retake the test, are subject to the $30 filing fee. This includes students who were approved for a previous test date, but did not take the test for any reason.

YOU MUST SIGN UP WITH BOTH THE BOARD OFFICE AND NCEES TO BE ELIGIBLE TO TAKE THE FE EXAM.

First Step: Sign up with the Board Office. You may sign up either during the campus visit or by sending in a completed application form to the board office. Upon Board approval you will be given a letter that provides directions on how to sign up with NCEES.
