PKI Welcome Week kicks off year in Omaha

College of Engineering students will be welcomed back to campus with the annual PKI Welcome Week, with events every day in Omaha.

The Pancake Man will be serving hotcakes from 9-10:30 a.m. Monday in the PKI Atrium.

On Tuesday, free pizza will be available at the Student Resource Day from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the PKI Atrium. Later, a free Pizza Buffet at Godfather’s Pizza in Aksarben Village will be available from 5-7 p.m. to the first 600 students who show their MavCARD. Also, Aksarben Cinema will hand out free movie tickets to the first 600 students (show your MavCARD).

Free hot dogs will be available for lunch Wednesday during the Student Resource Day event from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the PKI Atrium.

On Thursday, The Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction will sponsor a smoothie and frozen coffee bar from 9-11 a.m. in the PKI Atrium. The annual Game Day, sponsored by N.E.S.C.O., follows from noon-4 p.m. in the PKI Atrium and PKI 150, with free Raising Cane’s.

Events wind up on Friday with the Engineering Ice Cream Social, sponsored by Engineering Student Services (ESS), from 1-2:30 p.m. (PKI Atrium).

For all events, free food will be available while supplies last.

Students are also encouraged to participate in UNO Durango Days activities. For more information on those events go to unomaha.edu/welcome.
