College of Engineering students will be welcomed back to campus with the 2017 Scott Campus Welcome Week, with events every day - Monday through Friday, August 21-25.

The Pancake Man will serve hotcakes from 9-10:30 a.m. Monday in the PKI Atrium, and NESCO (Nebraska Engineering Student Council at Omaha) is sponsoring an Eclipse BBQ from noon-2 p.m. in the PKI Front Courtyard.

On Tuesday, free pizza will be available at the Student Resource Day from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the PKI Atrium. From 1:30-3 p.m., NESCO is hosting a Pie Social in PKI (room to be announced).

Later, a free Pizza Buffet at Godfather’s Pizza in Aksarben Village will be available from 5-7 p.m. to the first 600 students who show their MavCARD. Also, Aksarben Cinema will sponsor Free Night at the Cinema and hand out free movie tickets to the first 600 students (show your MavCARD). Movie tickets must be used before the close of business Tuesday.

Free hot dogs will be available for lunch Wednesday during the Student Resource Day event from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the PKI Atrium. Partake in free food and live music during the Mavs Night at Pot Belly from 6-9 p.m. Shuttles run from Milo Bail Student Center and Scott Village every 15 minutes and are free to UNO students. The St. John Paul II Newman Center welcomes the entire UNO community from 6-9 p.m. to its Welcome BBQ, which will feature food, beverages, live music and yard games.

On Thursday, the Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction will sponsor a smoothie and frozen coffee bar from 10 a.m.-noon in the PKI Atrium.

Events wind up on Friday with the Engineering Ice Cream Social, sponsored by Engineering Student Services (ESS), from 1:30-3:30 p.m. (PKI Atrium), featuring donut sundaes.
