The Nebraska Human Resources Institute appointed Lindsay Hastings as executive director, effective immediately.

Hastings is a two-time graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (B.S. Secondary Math Education, 2004; M.S. Leadership Education, 2007), and expects to graduate in May with a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration. She began her work with NHRI as an associate director in January 2006 and assumed the interim directorship in 2008.

Hastings lives in Seward with her husband, Matt, and 17-month-old daughter, Lilly.

“Lindsay has a positive impact on the success of many young leaders at the University of Nebraska. In turn, these young leaders become difference makers in many Nebraska communities. Her passion and talent will be a great asset to NHRI for years to come.” said Bryce Johnson, president of the NHRI Board of Directors.

The Nebraska Human Resources Research Foundation was established in 1949. It is a leadership development program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in which outstanding college student leaders are paired with outstanding student leaders in Lincoln Public Schools, in order to positively influence others and develop leadership capacity through one-to-one investment relationships.
