Submit an essay for the Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics Essay Contest

The Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics Essay contest, a program of The Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity, will be launching online submissions for its 2013 contest. By entering the contest, you will become part of a 24 year legacy of leading young thinkers and writers confronting the ethical dilemmas in their lives and the world.

The Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics is an annual competition that challenges junior and senior college students to submit essays on the urgent ethical issues that confront them in today's complex world. Since 1989, The Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics has been encouraging students to write thought-provoking personal essays that raise questions, single out issues and are rational arguments for ethical action. The prize award includes: $5,000 for First Prize, $2,500 for Second Prize, $1,500 for Third Prize, and two $500 awards for Honorable Mention.

The contest is open to undergraduate full-time juniors and seniors who are registered at accredited four-year colleges or universities in the United States during the fall 2012 Semester. All submissions to the essay contest are judged anonymously. For more information on this award, please visit the Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics website at http://www.ethicsprize.org.

Submissions will be accepted online through Monday, December 3, 2012 by 5pm PST.
