Paid summer internship at Community Action of Nebraska

Do you want to use your communication skills to make a difference in Nebraska?
If you are a detail-oriented, history-loving, quick learner with knowledge of social and traditional media sources, seize the opportunity to take on poverty in the state of Nebraska.

Community Action of Nebraska is a private, not-for-profit organization. We work with
Nebraska’s nine Community Action Agencies to help low-income people attain economic
stability.
Paid summer internship, 20 hours/week for 8 to 10 weeks, $10/hour. Job requires occasional travel within Nebraska, expenses paid. Must provide own transportation.

Communications Specialist
The successful applicant will:
•Become familiar with the background and history the of the 9 Community Action Agencies in Nebraska, interview key personnel, and develop a chronology of key events and successes in each area and the state.
•Draft a working history of Community Action in Nebraska.
•Help publicize the 50th Anniversary of the War on Poverty in Nebraska.
•Create related media items for use in electronic and print media.
