The UNL CoJMC Ninth Annual UNL Trip to New York City & AWNY Career Conference is Wednesday, Nov. 19 – Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014
Visit ad agencies and PR firms all day Thursday, Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Advertising Women of New York (AWNY) Career Conference kicks off at 5 p.m. that evening with a keynote presentation and reception. Attend the conference from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, to hear from top professionals, participate in round tables and learn more about resumes and portfolios. Mix and mingle with Ad/PR alums that evening at a reception. Fly home on Saturday or extend your visit until Sunday to enjoy all that New York City has to offer.
This experience is limited to 50 students. Please book your own flight (and lodging) to arrive in New York City Wednesday evening at the latest.
To go, the AWNY Conference registration fee and travel insurance is $151 (payable to UNL). Please drop your check off with Deb Klimes in the CoJMC main office. We will register all students together. If you want to participate in the New York experience only, book your own flight and lodging and pay a $1 fee for travel insurance (payable to UNL). Please drop your money off with Deb Klimes in the CoJMC main office.
The deadline to apply for the conference is by noon this Friday, Oct. 31. The $1 travel insurance fee is due before travel to NYC.
