The intern will work with NET News reporters and producers and receive instruction on best practices and hands-on training on producing stories for multiple platforms. Intern may be asked to pitch story ideas and provide research assistance to staff.
Students must be in good academic standing and have completed at least two journalism courses. They will be expected to stay abreast of current events and to follow NET News content on radio, television, online and social media. If appropriate, intern may be asked to work toward producing at least one radio, television or digital news story to be evaluated by news personnel for possible use on NET Television, NET Radio, or the NET News website. 15-20 hours per week.
