Members of the National Broadcasting Society (UNL chapter) attended the South Central Broadcasting Society conference Oct. 14, in Forth Worth, Texas, hosted by Texas Christian University. They were Kellan Heavican (NBS co-president), Lauren Hubka (vice president), Jeremy Davis (secretary), Nate Muhlbach, and Professor Laurie Thomas Lee (adviser). As part of the conference, the group toured CBS radio studios and Deaf Mule Productions, an audio post-production house.

Grand Prize trophies were awarded to three UNL broadcasting students at the SCBS competition and conference, and five finalists from UNL were also named.
