What is the role of an Appointment Specialist?
As the first contact for the company, the Appointment Specialist is responsible for following-up on warm-leads and scheduling appointments with potential customers. An Appointment Specialist is expected to be constantly refining their craft on the phone, always being courteous and helpful.
Turning a lead into a potential customer is the focus of this position and requires expert listening skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. The best Appointment Specialists have a cheerful and inviting personality.
Responsibilities:
-Following-up on leads, asking questions, and eventually converting those leads into appointments.
-Operating a simple and easy-to-use schedule management program, keeping track of appointments, & taking notes.
-Setting and achieving goals.
-Increasing appointments for Solutions Team, leading to more sales.
-Introducing promotions and opportunities to leads.
Requirements:
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-Minimal typing skills.
-A professional appearance.
-Comfort in working in a team environment.
-Highly organized.
-Maintain a positive attitude and focus on problem solving.
-The ability to read, write, type, and work with basic computer programs.
-The ability to make calls and talk for extended periods of time.
-Previous phone experience is a plus, but not a firm requirement.
