Marketing Support Specialist Intern, General Excavating

Performs specialized functions associated with and to support corporate marketing. Preparation of marketing print collateral, social media, website content, firm qualifications, presentation visual aids, and other general marketing activities. Maintains records for the marketing department, including: project descriptions, staff credentials, photo/graphics library and firm qualifications library.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with E-Marketing activities, including:
-General Excavating website
-General Excavating internal/external news updates
-General Excavating social media sites (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter)
-Assist with electronic mail campaigns (Mail Chimp)
Assist with maintenance of the firm’s CRM database:
-Updating clients, contacts, campaigns, opportunities and project information
-Maintenance of resumes and project descriptions
-Acquire/enter new and/or updated CRM information from other departments
Other general marketing activities:
-Assist with preparation of SOQs
-Marketing flyers and brochures
-Tradeshow display preparation
-Presentation prep – PowerPoint, display boards, leave behinds, etc.
-Graphics and photography formatting
-Assist with creation of publication/advertisement pieces

Qualifications:

-Education preferred – studio arts, graphic communications, journalism
-Proficient with Word, Excel, Adobe, CMS software, PowerPoint, Photoshop
-Experienced with editing and proofreading
-Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
-Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
-Excellent organization and detail orientation
-Ability to excel in collaborative, team oriented atmosphere

This position will provide good exposure to a wide variety of other industries such as: engineering, architecture, general contracting, etc. There are lots of opportunities for someone with a strong background in communications.

would assist with both sides of the company.
